Unsure about what type of paper to use for your publication?

HMCA Services has got you covered with a range of high quality and sustainable paper products.

While it is important that the paper we provide is suitable for our clients environmentally, we do not compromise when it comes to quality. Below are just some of the paper types HMCA Services provide. Which type is most appropriate for your association’s publication?

Gloss paper

A gloss finish is good for images that are full of colour and need to stand out. It has a higher shine than other types of paper and is typically used to produce publications such as flyers or brochures.

Silk paper

If you’re looking to produce a premium touch publication, silk paper might be the one for you. It has a soft feel, with the finish being somewhere between gloss and matte. Often, silk paper is used by organisations that are producing magazines or catalogues.

Uncoated paper

Uncoated paper is exactly what the name suggests; it does not have a coating between the fibres. This type of paper is often found in offices and has the advantage of being used by both printer or by pen and pencil. This makes it perfect for organisations looking to produce forms or letterheads.

FSC Certified / recycled paper

HMCA Services ensures that all the paper it provides is FSC Certified. The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) was established to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. For paper to be FSC Certified, it must be produced and harvested in a responsible manner. This type of paper does not have to contain recycled materials to be classed as certified, but it often can do. For organisations that are active in practising environmental sustainability as part of their ethos, FSC certified paper is a good way to ensure that they are ‘green printing’.
